Projects
Education
Education is essential for promoting responsible consumption. Our educational projects are aimed primarily at teachers and students in secondary schools as well as at universities.
Chemicals
We raise awareness of health and environmental problems related to the occurrence of hazardous chemicals (SVHC – Substances of Very High Concern) in products we use every day.
Circularity
We draw attention to the excessive production of single-use packaging and advocate for solutions in line with the circular economy. We provide education and propose changes to food delivery systems that make use of reusable packaging.
Climate
We draw attention to global issues related to environmental degradation and protection, food security, as well as the situation of women and gender inequalities. We also highlight these problems in the context of (un)sustainable production and overconsumption.
Greenwashing
We highlight the issue of greenwashing—practices that make companies appear more eco-friendly than they actually are. We show how to recognize marketing manipulations and distinguish truly sustainable actions from empty slogans.
Clothes
We raise awareness of the problems associated with clothing and textile industry among people interested in fashion, both as designers and consumers.
Food
We draw attention to the problems associated with the food industry and spread information about the human rights and environmental abuses associated with the production of food in Poland and abroad and their impact on climate change and the situation of people in production countries.
Water
We point out the problems related to water scarcity in Poland and worldwide. If our habits and behaviours don’t change, we are facing more and more serious consequences of climate change, including water scarcity.
Shoes
We raise awareness of problems concerning the shoe and leather industry. We provide information on how the shoes available in Europe have been made.
Fruits
We raise awareness of social and environmental problems concerning tropical fruit production and trade. Bananas and pineapples are the most popular exotic fruit species available at our shops.
Toys
We draw attention to the problems associated with the toy industry and spread information about the human rights abuses associated with the production of toys in developing countries (mainly in China).
Wood and Paper
We draw attention to social and environmental problems related to forestry and wood and paper industry in Poland and worldwide by offering a range of available solutions.
Electronics
We are drawing consumers’ attention to social and environmental problems associated with the production, use and recycling of electronic equipment. It’s hard to imagine today’s world without consumer electronics.
6R: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover
We draw attention to the problems associated with the production of waste in Poland and abroad and show how by simply changing consumer habits, each of us can reduce the amount of waste they produce.
Consumers' Rights
Each of us is a consumer. All consumers are entitled to basic rights. How to exercise your rights, but also responsibilities as consumer?
Public Procurement
Public procurement constitutes about 9% of Polish GDP. It makes public institutions the key consumers in Poland and natural target group of the activities of Buy Responsibly Foundation.
